Position: Field Service Techician

Location: Grand Rapids, MI (Must live in, or be willing to relocate to, central or western Michigan; regional travel requirement will be approximately 50% after training)

Salary Range: $48,000 - $52,000 DOE, plus company-provided service vehicle; full benefits eligibility after 30 days

Job Description:

  • Help triage meter hardware and software issues with other technicians
  • Respond to escalated, unresolved meter maintenance requests/work orders according to SLAs
  • Schedule and perform all preventative maintenance on all equipment
  • Train new technicians
  • Load and test new software and report results
  • Manage local parts inventory and service vehicle
  • Provide reporting and analysis reports

Education, Skills and Experience Desired:

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Experience working with 12v DC powered systems, wireless data modems and unattended payment terminals such as vending machines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Physical Demands and Requirements:

  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions and changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind;
  • Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities including lifting and carrying or moving up to 75lbs
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials
  • Ability to work with hand tools and small electrical tools
  • Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check with no convictions
  • Must provide proof of excellent driving record with fewer than 5 points in the past 5 years
